  • The Simhachalam Nijarupa Darshanam is an annual festival conducted in the temple. The Nijarupa Darshanam usually comes in the month of April or May
  • The date of the Simhachalam Nijarupa Darshanam is on 22 April 2023
  • Nijarupa Darshanam means the procedure where the Sandalwood paster covering of the Lord is removed during this occasion. The Simhachalam Lord is covered with Sandalwood paste every day.
  • On this day, the Sandal Wood paste is removed and the new ones are applied. So the pilgrims can see the original idol of the Lord without Sandalwood paste
  • This is the reason, the pilgrims will be coming from everywhere to see the Lord’s original idol.
  • Normally, the timings of the Simhachalam Nijarupa Darshanam will be the same as the timings of the temple. The pilgrims need not to book for the tickets online. If the temple provides any tickets for the occasion online, then the pilgrims can book for the same
