- Nijarupa Darshanam means the procedure where the Sandalwood paster covering of the Lord is removed during this occasion. The Simhachalam Lord is covered with Sandalwood paste every day.
- On this day, the Sandal Wood paste is removed and the new ones are applied. So the pilgrims can see the original idol of the Lord without Sandalwood paste
- This is the reason, the pilgrims will be coming from everywhere to see the Lord’s original idol.
