The Timings of the Aadi Krithigai start during the Tithi of the Kirthigai day.

  • On the Aadi Krithigai day the pilgrims will be going to the temples with the offering called Kavadi. The Kavadi offering will be prepared before 3 days of the Aadi Krithigai day
  • Then on the day of the Aadi Krithigai the special pooja is performed on the Kavadi in the homes of the devotees. Then the pilgrims will be carrying the Kavadi on their shoulders and will be travelling to the temples of the Lord Murugan
  • The pilgrims will be going to the most famous temple of the Lord Murugan and will be offering the Aadi Krithigai Kavadi there. The Muhurtham and the timings of the Kavadi on the Aadi Krithigai day will be decided without the Rahu Kalam and the Yamagandam.
  • Apart from these two timings on the Aadi Krithigai day, the pilgrims can do the pooja and the offering on any time of the day,
