Murudeshwar Temple is the abode of the Lord Shiva in the form of the Murudeshwar. Every year thousands of pilgrims will be coming for the Darshan of the Lord here. The Murudeshwar Temple also holds the record of having the highest Gopuram in the country. The temple has one of the highest gopurams on the shore of the Arabian Sea. The view from the top of the Murudeshwar Temple Gopuram is amazing and breathtaking. Unlike other temples which don’t allow normal pilgrims to the top of the Gopuram, the Murudeshwar Temple allows pilgrims to reach the Murudeshwar Temple Gopuram top and look at the views.

The temple authorities have arranged for the lift which takes the pilgrims to the top of the Murudeshwar Temple Gopuram. There are two lift which is used to carry the pilgrims up and down. The pilgrims can come to the temple and take the tickets to reach the top of the temple gopuram. The timings of the Murudeshwar Temple lift are as below

Murudeshwar Temple Gopuram Lift Timings is operated daily from 07.00 AM to 08.00 PM with break timings from 1 PM to 3 PM.

  • The pilgrims can come to the temple and below the Gopuram, there is a ticket counter for the pilgrims. The pilgrims can reach the ticket counter and purchase the ticket for the lift. The ticket cost is Rs 30 per pilgrim. Please note, the price of the lift per person is tentative and can change.
  • Once the pilgrims, takes the tickets for the lift, they can wait in line for the lift. The pilgrims can take the lift when their turn comes. The pilgrims will be taken to the top of the Gopuram where there is a room with windows which provides a view for the pilgrims. The pilgrims can be at the top how much ever they want and take the lift down.
