Chidambaram temple is the most famous for the devotees of Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva will be in the form of Nataraja in the Chidambaram temple. The Nataraja means the Shiva will not be in the form of the Linga but will be in the form of the Shiva in human form. The Lord here is celebrated by the devotees as Nataraja as the lord will be performing the Cosmic dance. The idol also will be in the form of Lord Shiva performing the Cosmic Dance.
The temple will be performing the Abhishekam daily here in the temple. The pilgrims can book the abhishekam online or else the pilgrims can come to the temple and book the abhishekam in the temple counter. The pilgrims have to pre book for the abhishekam in a day as there will be a massive demand for the tickets during the peak seasons.
