The Nirjala Ekadashi is a very important day because of the pooja procedure which will be followed on this day. Normally, the Ekadashi day will be followed by the pilgrims with complete fasting. The devotees who follow this will be fasting the whole day or in the tithi timings of the Eakdashi day. Nirjala Ekadashi means the devotees will not even drink water on this day.

  • On the Nirjala Ekadashi the devotees will wake up early in the morning and will take bath. Once the bath in done, the pilgrims will be cleaning the house and the pooja mandir.
  • The pooja mandir is decorated and the flowers will be offered to the lord. Mostly the Nirjala Ekadashi is followed and offered to Lord Vishnu. So the devotees can decorate the Lord Vishnu Photo
  • This complete day of the Nirjala Ekadashi the devotees will not drink water and will not eat any food. This is the Nirjala Ekadashi pooja procedure. But the devotees will be chanting the Vishnu Sahasranamam the who day and once the Vishnu Sahasranamam is completed a harathi will be offered to the Lord.
  • Once the Nirjala Ekadashi tithi and timings is completed, the pilgrims will offer the Harathi and also the prasadam to the Lord. With this the pooja of the Nirjala Ekadashi is completed.
