The Muhurth timings for the Rakhi is from 04:26 pm on 11th August 2022 to 05:58 am on August 12 2022.

  • Some people are celebrating the Rakhi pournami on the 11th and some people are celebrating it on the 12th. As both days have the Muhurt timings, the Rakhi can be celebrated in the Muhurth timings
  • On the Rakhi Pournami, the sisters will be buying the Raksha Bandhan and then will be doing the pooja at home. In some states, the pooja will be done for the moon instead of the god. After doing the pooja, the brother will be tied with Raksha Bandhan in the hand
  • Then the brother will give the blessing to the sisters. Only sisters and brothers will be doing this Rakhi pooja on the Rakhi Pournami day
