Sawan Shivratri  is an important festival during the Sawan or the Shravan Month. The pilgrims will be doing the Sawan Shivratri this month. The Sawam month is an auspicious month for the Lord Shiva. The pilgrims will be doing the vrat during this month on every Monday which is very good for the family. Normally, the Monday vrat will be done by the women only. But the Sawan Shivratri can be followed by all the pilgrims in the family. The Sawan Shivratri is the same as the normal Shivratri which occurs in the year. This Sawan Shivratri is dedicated to the Lord Shiva and celebrated in the month of the Shravan and hence the name.

Sawan Shivratri 2023 Timings: 06.33 AM – 09.34 PM

The date of the Sawan Shivratri is not standard as the festival is decided by the panchangam tithi only. The date is not fixed by the date-wise calendar. The pilgrims can check for the Panchangam about the dates of the Sawan Shivratri. The pilgrims can go to the temple for the pooja or else can do the pooja at home also. The Sawan Shivratri is also an important festival in the timings of marriages.

  • The Sawan Shivratri can follow on the above date for the year 2023. The pooja should be done during the above timings only. Some pilgrims will do fasting from Morning to evening and will do the pooja in the afternoon. The aarti can be performed during the evening timings.
  • The pilgrims can also do the fasting at night and can do the aarti on the next day morning. The pilgrims who celebrate the Sawan Shivratri in the temple can follow the timings and process of the temple.
