  • The Simhachalam temple Chandanotsavam is usually conducted in the month of May. So for this year of 2023 also the Chandanotsavam will be conducted in the month of May only.
  • The dates of the Chandanotsavam will be confirmed 1-2 months before the festival. The date will be updated on this page once the temple announces the Chandanotsavam of the Simahachalam temple.
  • The Darshan timings of the Simhachala temple during the Chandanotsavam will change. The Chandanotsavam festival starts from the morning 03 AM
  • So the pilgrims will be allowed for the Darshan once the Chandanotsavam rituals is completed. The Lord will be covered with the Chandanam completely on this day. The pilgrims can see the lord with the Chandanam and hence the name of the Chandanotsavam
  • The pilgrims can see the Chandanotsavam from 03 AM – 12 PM on this. The pilgrims have to note that the Chandanotsavam will be for one day only in the yar. So the pilgrims need to plan the Darshan accordingly for one day.
