- First the pilgrims who come to the Thirunallar Temple should come to the temple with two pair of clothes for the changing before and after the pooja.
- The pilgrims should first visit the Nala tank which is available at the temple premises and should offer prayer. The pilgrims who come for the Shani pooja should take bath in the Nala tank
- The pilgrims need to change the wet clothes after doing the bath in the tank. Then the pilgrims need to go to the Lord Ganesha temple which is located near the temple.
- After the Darshan of the Lord Ganesha the pilgrims can go to the location of the special pooja and follow the instruction of the priests.
- After the pooja is completed, the piglrims should go to the Darshan of the Lord.
- Once the Darshan is completed, the pilgrims can leave the temple.
- Some times, the priest will instruct the pilgrims to change the clothes after the pooja is done and sometimes its not required.
