The TTD is the temple administration body of the Tirumala temple. For the safety of the pilgrims, some items are not allowed to carry to Tirumala. The pilgrims have to be very careful while packing these items in their luggage. The luggage will be completely checked at the Tirumala toll gate. All the Prohibited items will be removed and discarded at the Toll gate. Please note the electronic items which are Prohibited to Tirumala will be discarded. These items if seized will not be provided to the pilgrims again.

So the pilgrims have to be very careful while travelling to Tirumala. The is mandatory the pilgrims should not travel to the Tirumala temple with these items. Not only the temple but the pilgrims also are not allowed to take these items past the Toll gate near the Alipiri in Tirupati. The luggage will be completely scanned here for the prohibited items.

  • The pilgrims are not allowed to carry any cooking items. Any items or appliances used for cooking are not allowed. Gas Cylinders, Electric Kettles, Induction Stoves, Stick Geysers, Iron boxes and any  other appliances are not allowed
  • The pilgrims are prohibited to carry any Smoking related items, Gutka, Alcohol and also any narcotic items. The substances are completely prohibited to be carried to Tirumala
  • Non-Vegeterain food is also completely banned in Tirumala. The pilgrims are not allowed to carry any meat, or eggs to Tirumala
  • The pilgrims are not allowed to carry rice bags to Tirumala.
  • The pilgrims are allowed to carry only the clothes and the items which are essential for them. If the pilgrims require any medical devices to be carried to Tirumala, they can get permission at the Tollgate
  • Any type of weapons and ammunition including the resembles is not allowed to be carried to Tirumala.
