Lunar Eclipse on 16-17 July 2019 Timings

This year 2019 Lunar eclipse occurs in the midnight of  16-17 July 2019. The Lunar eclipse starts from 1.31 AM on 17 July 2019 to 04.29 AM on the same day. As the lunar eclipse is occurring in the mid night the spiritually the eclipse is followed on both of these days.

Tirumala Temple Darshan Schedule on Lunar Eclipse Day

As usually following all the spiritual rules and also the rules and regulations set by Agama Sastra, Tirumala Temple is closed on the Lunar Eclipse day. The temple will be closed at 6 PM on 16 July 2019 six hours before the eclipse as per the traditions. All other temples in Tirumala also will be closed during these timings. All the Special Darshan, Free Darshan and Divya Darshan after this timings will be stopped. The temple will be opened again at 5 AM on 17 July 2019 after the completion of Lunar eclipse.

After the Suddhi, Punyahavachanam and other purificatory rituals the devotees will be allowed in to temple from 11 AM as usually for Darshan.  The other sevas Suprabatha Seva, Thomala Seva, Archana and Koluvu which is to happen on 17 July will be conducted in Private and devotees will not allowed to attend these sevas on this day.

Also, due to Anivara Asthanam which is a Annual seva which is planned to conduct from 7 AM to 9 AM inside the temple on 17 July will be conducted as usually. Due to this festival, Arjitha Brahmotsavam, Vasantotsavam and Sahasra Deepalankarana at the  Tirumala temple will be cancelled on 17 July 2019.

Also, the Divya Darshan and also Slotted Sarva Darshan is called for all the pilgrims on this day. Pilgrims are requested to plan their visit to Tirumala temple accordingly.
