At the Tirumala Srivari Temple, it is common to perform the Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam on a yearly basis, more specifically on April, July, October, and December. On a Tuesday that comes before each of the festivals known as Ugadi, Anivara Asthanam, Brahmotsavam, and Vaikuntha Ekadashi, a programme to cleanse the temple is carried out.

- First, Swami wrapped a cloth around his entire head and proceeded to clean the interior of the temple, including all of the sub-temples, temple premises, walls, roof, worship materials, and so on, using water.
- This process extended from Anandanilayam to Bangaruwakili. When the priests have finished spreading the perfume that has been blended with Kichiligadda and other spices throughout the temple, they will remove the cloth that has been covering the Swami’s Mulavirattu and then execute specific pooja and offering programmes in a systematic manner.
- At the Tirumala temple, the ceilings and walls of the sanctum sanctorum and the other upalayas are decorated with a unique fragrant composition known as parimalam. Many adherents are under the impression that it also possesses antiseptic properties. After the conclusion of this festival, devotees will be permitted to visit.
