As we all know Tirumala tempe is the most crowded temple and there will be a huge pilgrims rush every day. To make sure all the pilgrims do their Darshan of Lord Sri Venkateswara in time and also as fast as they can TTD has made some Darshan arrangements for the pilgrims. Out of these arrangement implementing Laghu Darshan during heavy crowd is also an major step to make to sure the que line moves fast when there is a huge crowd waiting in the line.
There are two types of Laghu Darshan which TTD has implemented. These laghu Darshan makes sure, the line moves fast and also makes sure the pilgrims in the line come out of the main temple as soon possible. The Laghu Darshan types are
- Maha Laghu Darshan
- Laghu Darshan
Maha Laghu Darshan in Tirumala
This Maha Laghu Darshan is implemented during the times of heavy crowd, public holidays and also all the festivals when the crowd is heavy. During the Maha Laghu Darshan all the pilgrims who are in the que will be allowed to have Darshan of Lord Sri Venkateswara from the last door where the Jaya Vijaya Statue stands. It will be approximately 50 feet away from the main idol. The pilgrims are not allowed to go further near the idol during this Maha Laghu Darshan and this Darshan is the most farthest darshan one can ever have in Tirumala. During this Darshan pilgrims will get a glimpse of the Lord for a period of around 10-12 seconds.
Laghu Darshan in Tirumala
This Darshan is some what better compared to the Maha Laghu Darshan. The pilgrims will allowed till the 3rd Door of the main temple and once can view Lord in a little better distance. It will be approximately 50 feet away from the main idol. This Laghu Darshan is now being implemented on all days except on days which is very less crowd and also there are no pilgrims waiting in the compartments. During this Darshan pilgrims will get a glimpse of the Lord for a period of around 30-40econds.
