Madurai Chithirai Festival 2022 Schedule Tamil Dates is the most important festival for the Meenakshi temple. The Madurai Chithirai Festival is attended by lakhs of pilgrims every year. This festival is a 15 days festival. Where the first 15 days will be the festival celebrated for the Madurai Mennakshi amman and the next 15 days festival will be celebrated for the Alagar in the Madurai temple. The festival officially ends on 19 April 2022. During the COVID last year the festival was conducted in private as a small ceremony only attended by VIP’s. But this year the event can be expected as a public event. However, the guidelines of the event is not released and will be released before the event happens. Mostly like previous years, the temple can also choose for limited online booking which cannot be predicted.
However the case, lakhs of pilgrims will be looking for the Chithirai festival and hance heavy crowd can be expected at the temple for this festival.
