Medaram Sammakka Sarakka Jatara is the most anticipated festival in the state of Telangana. This festival is the largest tribal festival in the Asian Continent and also one of the most celebrated festivals in the state of Telangana. The government of Telangana takes this festival as a prestigious festival every year and makes amazing arrangements every year for the pilgrims who are visiting and participating in this festival. It is also know as in the name as “Kumbhamela of the Telugu states”. Every year more than 10 lakh pilgrims participate in this festival travelling to the Medaram from the many places in the state.
Medaram Jatara 2020 Sammakka Sarakka Dates Schedule
The Medaram Sammakka Sarakka Jatara 2020 is planned to be celebrated from the dates of 05 February 2020 to 08 February 2020. On the 05 Feb day Goddess, Saralamma will be brought to the Gadde and on the 06 Feb Goddess Sarakka will be brought to the Gadde and the Main festival will be taking place on the date of 07 February 2020. The festival will be closing on the day of Feb 8, with the Goddess entering the Forest and hence finishing the 4 days festival in the Medaram.
Medaram Jatara 2020 Details
All the pilgrims are requested by the government to take properly before coming to the festival. Even though the Government has made ample arrangement for the festival, as the pilgrims visiting the festival are high in numbers, pilgrims are requested to take care of themselves properly. Old age people and Pilgrims who are carrying infants have to be extra careful due to the heavy crowd which will be anticipated on this days of festival.
