Srisailam temple is one of the most important Shiva temples in the country. Lord Shiva is worshipped here in the form of the Lord Mallikarjuna. The pilgrims can visit the temple when the temple is opened for the pooja. The Maha Shivratri festival is celebrated in a grand manner in the Srisailam temple. The temple will conduct an 11-day Brahmotsavam pooja on the Maha Shivratri days. The pilgrims can come to the temple in this Brahmotsavam during the Maha Shivratri day. The temple will be doing a special pooja for Maha Shivratri in the year 2023.

During the Maha Shivratri Brahmotsavam 2023, the temple will be taking the Lord on the Vahanam as a procession. The temple will be carrying out the different Vahans for different days during the Maha Shivratri Brahmotsavam. Below are the dates of the 2023 Maha Shivratri Brahmotsavam at the Srisailam temple and also the Vahanam timings.

  • The pilgrims can attend the Darshan at the Srisailam temple for the Maha Shivratri festival on any of the above day
  • The Maha Shivratri in the Srisailam temple is celebrated for almost 11 days and the pilgrims will be coming from many parts of the country
  • One the Maha Shivratri day the temple might be completely crowded. So the pilgrims need to plan the Darshan in advance during the Maha Shivratri day. There is no online booking available for the Maha Shivratri day
