Tirumala Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva

As the name suggests the Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva is the seva which is held in the midst of 1000 lamps. This is the only which will be conducted outside the temple and also outside the Vaibhovothsav mandapam. The Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva is a daily seva which will be conducted in the Unjal Madapam which lies in the East corner of the temple (Beside the steps to Supadham) and pilgrims should report at the same point.

Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva Timings

Every day the Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva is conducted at 5.00 PM to 5.30 PM. The Seva might be cancelled due to any special occasions or any other festivals which effects the regular working of the temple. The Seva duration is 30 minutes.

Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva Procedure

  • Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva is conducted at 5.00 PM every day.
  • The Uthsav idol, Lord Malayappa Swamy is taken to the Unjal Mandapam and will be seated on a swing. After which the 1000 lamps which is in the mandapam is lit. Once the lamps are lit, the Lord is made swing and the Annamayya Songs will be sung.
  • Once the seva is completed a Harathi is offered to the pilgrims who participates in the seva. The Uthsav moorthys are taken as a procession in the mada streets and will be taken in to the temple.

Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva Darshan

As soon as the Seva is completed the pilgrims who has participated in the seva will be allowed to darshan through the Supadam entrance and will merged to other paid ques.

Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva Prasadam

The ticket holders are given 2 small laddus for this seva. At the conclusion of this seva, the ticket holders are permitted to have the darshan of the main deity in the sanctum sanctorum. The duration of the seva is 20-30 minutes. If any pilgrim require extra laddu they can book online or can purchase at the counter.

Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva Ticket Booking

Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva is available on the TTD onliine website for booking. One can book the Seva from the counters of the CRO office also based on availability. The Price of the ticket is Rs. 200 per person.
