This Tiruvannamalai Karthigai Deepam is a 10 day festival. The start of this day this 10 day festival is marked by the Karthiga deepam the lamp lit on the above day at the top of the Tiruvannamalai mountain. The lamp is a huge lamp and will be lit by the ghee which is payed by the pilgrims. Once the lamp is lit on the Arunachalam temple, this marks the start of the 10 day Karthiga deepam festival.
Pilgrims will visit the place on these 10 days and will be taking part of the girivalam. Every day in these 10 days pilgrims will be taking Girivalam day and night and will be having Darshan.

- Darshan timings can be altered and completely changed as per the pilgrims visiting count

- The Girivalam route may be completely restricted.
