On the day of Karthigai Deepam, the Annamalaiyar temple hosts the Karthikai Deepam Brahmotsava celebration. This event is held in honour of the god Brahmotsava. The Chandikesuvar Utsavam takes place after ten days of processions of Utsavars, which are followed by three days of the boat festival.
