About Tirumala Tirupati Online

Tirumala Tirupati Online is an independent informational website serving Tirumala pilgrims since August 2016. Our editorial team has helped millions of devotees plan visits to the abode of Lord Sri Venkateswara — the world’s most-visited Hindu temple, drawing 60,000-100,000 pilgrims daily.

This page tells you who we are, why we publish, what we cover, how we work, and how to reach us. If you came here looking for a single trustworthy source for darshan timings, seva booking, accommodation guidance, and the practical “how do I actually do this” details that aren’t answered on the official TTD portal — you’re in the right place.

Our Story

Tirumala Tirupati Online was founded by Shiva Venkateswara on 15 August 2017, growing out of an informal blog he had been running since 2016. The motivation was simple: every pilgrim he knew — family, neighbours, NRI relatives in Hyderabad and abroad — was asking the same questions every season.

  • How do I book a Sarva Darshan slot, and what is the actual wait time?
  • What is the difference between ₹300 Special Entry, Sheeghra Darshan, and Supatham VIP?
  • How does Srivani Trust pricing work, and is it worth it?
  • Are TTD guest house bookings really released at exactly 10:00 AM IST?
  • Which kalyanam, abhishekam, and vahanam timings are correct after the latest TTD circular?

The answers existed — but they were scattered across Telugu pamphlets at the Vaikuntam queue complex, regional newspaper announcements, multiple TTD sub-portals, and the lived experience of long-time pilgrims and TTD volunteers. There was no single English-language source that brought it all together and kept it current. So we built one.

What started as a one-author blog now publishes daily updates across 2,900+ guides, reaching pilgrims who search in English, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi.

Our Mission

Make Tirumala pilgrimage planning accurate, simple, and stress-free for every devotee — from the first-time visitor flying in from the Gulf to the senior citizen booking a small room for a one-day darshan via the CRO walk-in counter.

We do this by:

  • Verifying every booking process, timing, and price against the official TTD portal (tirupatibalaji.ap.gov.in) and TTD-issued circulars before publication.
  • Updating time-sensitive content (darshan status, festival schedules, room availability quotas) within 48 hours of any TTD change.
  • Cross-referencing our information with on-ground reporting, conversations with TTD staff, and feedback from our reader community.
  • Writing in plain English with practical step-by-step instructions, not religious sermonizing.

Our Expertise

Our editorial work is grounded in first-hand pilgrimage experience, not desk research alone. Our founding editor has personally completed Tirumala pilgrimages 50+ times, walking both the Alipiri and Srivari Mettu footpaths, observing every major arjitha seva, and touring every guest house, mutt, and dormitory in both Tirumala and Tirupati.

Our specialised coverage includes:

  • TTD Darshan procedures — Sarva Darshan, ₹300 Special Entry, SSD tokens, Srivani Trust, Divya Darshan, Supatham VIP, free passes, walk-in queue strategy.
  • Accommodation — online quota releases, CRO walk-ins, all major mutts and choultries (Padmavathi, Sri Sai, Srinivasam, Vishnu Nivasam, Madhavam), private dharamshalas in Tirupati near the railway station.
  • Sevas & Rituals — Arjitha (Kalyanotsavam, Brahmotsavam, Sahasradeepalankarana, Tiruppavada, Vasanthotsavam), Daily Sevas (Suprabhata Seva to Ekantha Seva), Weekly Sevas (Tiruppavada, Tirumanjanam), and special-occasion rituals.
  • South Indian Temples beyond Tirumala — Srikalahasti, Bhadrachalam, Tiruchanur, Kanchipuram, Madurai, Mopidevi, Vijayawada Kanaka Durga, the Char Dham circuit, plus Kerala’s Sabarimala and Guruvayur.
  • Festivals & Calendars — Brahmotsavam (Salakatla and Navaratri), Vaikuntha Ekadashi, Rathasapthami, Garuda Seva, full annual TTD festival calendar with vahanam, asthanam, and special darshan timings.

What We Do Not Cover

Editorial focus matters as much as breadth. We deliberately do not cover:

  • Political news (except where it directly affects pilgrim access or temple operations)
  • Personal opinion columns or religious sermons
  • Astrological predictions presented as fact
  • Medical, legal, or financial advice
  • Paid placements or favourable coverage in exchange for compensation — see our Editorial Policy for the advertiser-independence statement.

Our Editorial Standards

We hold ourselves to clearly-published editorial and corrections standards. The full versions are linked below; the summary:

  • Bylines: every article is attributed to a named, credentialed author with a public bio.
  • Verification: claims are cross-checked against TTD’s official portal and circulars, with primary sources cited where possible.
  • Update cadence: every guide is reviewed at least every 90 days; time-sensitive guides within 48 hours of any TTD change.
  • Corrections: we correct errors transparently and visibly — not silently. Reader-reported errors are resolved within 24-72 hours.
  • Advertiser independence: Google AdSense advertising supports the site, but advertisers do not influence editorial content.
  • No AI-only content: AI tools may assist research and grammar; every published article is reviewed and approved by a human editor.
