Athi Varadar Darshan at the Shri Varadaraja Perumal temple in Kanchi is witnessing more and more crowd each and every day. The temple authorities have estimated that approximately 34 lakhs pilgrims has visited the temple in a span of almost 20 days. The event is left out for 12 days more the last date of Darshan being 17th August 2019. The authorities are expecting even a huge rush as the Idol is now in standing position which is attracting even more devotees from last 5 days.

With the increase of visit of the pilgrims, the Darshan of the Lord is also becoming more difficult with an huge increase of the Darshan time. And also, the online passes are getting difficult to book day by day due to the limited numbers of passes released every day. Also, NRI’s are facing issue to book online passes as the Aadhar has become mandatory for the booking of the online passes.

Donor Passes for Athi Varadar Darshan

The donor passes are being issued to Donors who can donate to the temple. The donor passes take 1-2 hours for Darshan. The process of getting the donor pass is simple. Visit the below link.

  • Donate a amount of more than Rs. 3000
  • Once you finish your donation a receipt will be generated.
  • Take the print out of the receipt.
  • Visit Collector office in Kanchipuram and you can meet Sub Collector for Donor Passes
  • Once the receipt is show a Donor pass will be issued.
  • You can visit the temple with Donor Pass and have Darshan from West Gopuram
  • The Donor Pass is first come first serve basis. It is the decision of the authorities on how many Donor Passes issued every day.

VIP Passes for Athi Varadar Darshan

VIP’s who fall in to Protocol VIP category can contact the Collector office for VIP passes and can meet the Sub Collector. It is the decision of the authorities for issuing the VIP pass. VIP passes can also be received from above donation process.

NRI Darshan Passes for Athi Varadar Darshan

As NRI’s need aadhar card number to book for the Athi Varadar darshan, the online booking procedure has become more difficult for NRI’s. NRI’s can follow the above Donor Passes to get Darshan. Again, it is up to the decision of the authorities if the passes should be issued or not for a particular person for Darshan.
