The 48 days event of rising Lord Sri Athi Varadar is coming to an end. The Lord will be immersed in the Anantasaras which is the name of the temple tank on the last day. Lakhs of pilgrims has visited and has Darshan of the Lord from the starting date of 1st July 2019. The Lord will be immersed in water on the last date and will remain in the water for next 40 years. So pilgrims who wishes to take a glimpse of the Lord has very less time for Darshan.

The temple authorities and the government has already made arrangement for the last date of the Darshan. It is expected a lot of people in lakhs will reach to the Kanchi on the last day to have Darshan of the Lord and hence the pilgrims are requested to be prepared for long wait and also for a huge rush.

Already, the authorities has suggested  the pilgrims to wait for two days for Darshan as it is taking a quite lot of time and also authorities are suggesting Senior Citizens and also people with kids, people with health ailments not to visit the temple on these last dates to avoid any mishaps and further complications.

Athi Varadar  Darshan timings remains same on the last for pilgrims. But as of now, all VIP Darshan and also Special Darshan are cancelled on the last date of the festival. Also, the Darshan will be stopped by afternoon. Further details are yet to come.

Latest Update

The Darshan of Athi Varadar on 17 August is cancelled and the idol will be immersed in the anantasaras after necessary spiritual process. The Last day of visit for the Darshan is August 16. The Darshan timings will be extended till all the pilgrims inside the temple can finish the Darshan. The Pilgrims are allowed to stay in the parking lots as well. The Special Darshan and VIP Darshan is cancelled on August 16.
