Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple Marriage Procedure as below provides the information about the marriages which is planned to happen at the Madurai Meenakshi temple. Thousands of pilgrims visit the Madurai Meenakshi temple every year. For many pilgrims, Madurai Meenakshi Amman is the family god. And hence many pilgrims want to perform marriages in their families at the temple. Therefore to facilitate this, the Madurai temple authorities have constructed a marriage hall within the temple authority.

The pilgrims who want to perform the marriage in the Madurai can book this marriage hall and finish the wedding. But there is no specific wedding to be taken place inside the temple. However, the bride and bridegroom can visit the temple and the Lord after the wedding is completed. Pilgrims can book the hall by contacting the temple authorities in the temple. Please note, that the temple hall will be mostly overbooked and it is a first come first serve basis.

Pilgrims need to book plan well before during the peak season for the weddings. However, the pilgrims who book first for the marriage will be provided first preference.

  • Pilgrims who want to perform the marriages in the temple hall has to be Hindus and the bride should be 18 years and the groom should be above 21 years of age.
  • The bride and bridegroom has to procedure the aadhar card for the verification process before the wedding
  • The hall will be provided with basic facilities and electricity. The remaining facilities have to be arranged by the pilgrims only.
  • The marriage certificate will not be provided by the authorities and pilgrims has to make their own arrangement for the marriage certificates.
  • The pilgrims have to book for the hall well in advance and it is first come first serve basis
  • After the marriage is completed the pilgrims and bride and bride groom can go for the Darshan of the Meenakshi amman
