  • Valmiki is also known as Ratnakar. A Bhilani Ratnakara stole it, due to which he was brought up in the Bhil community. Later he became a thief. When Ratnakar realized that he was on the wrong path, he decided not to make that mistake again. He decided to follow a new path.
  • At that time when Narada approached Maharshi, Narada instructed him to chant the name of ‘Rama’ to go his way. Since then he became a monk and started doing penance. However, Brahma appreciated this penance and granted him enlightenment. Not only that. He also gave him the ability to write Ramayana. There are also stories about Valmiki in circulation.
