Tirumala Hundi Online Srivari Offering Locations TTD e Hundi

Shiva Venkateswara Jan 25, 2023 Updated Jul 6, 2026 6 min read

The Srivari Hundi is the main offering box (hundi) inside the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple at Tirumala, and pilgrims can drop their cash or offering into it after darshan. If you cannot visit in person, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) runs an official online “e-Hundi” facility on tirumala.org, the state portals, and the Govinda mobile app, where you can offer to the same Srivari Hundi corpus digitally.

Offering into the hundi is one of the oldest and most cherished forms of devotion at Tirumala. Devotees from across India and abroad place cash, gold, silver, ornaments and other offerings into the Srivari Hundi as a mark of surrender and gratitude to Lord Venkateswara. This guide explains where the hundi is located inside the temple, how the physical offering works, and how TTD’s official e-Hundi lets you make the same offering online. All information below is drawn from TTD’s official channels; always confirm current details on the official portal before you plan.

Srivari Hundi at Tirumala: what it is and where it is located

The Srivari Hundi is the principal collection hundi of the Tirumala temple. It is positioned within the temple complex along the route pilgrims take after having darshan of the main deity, so that devotees can make their offering as they move through the sanctum area toward the exit. TTD has also placed additional smaller collection hundis at points inside the temple so pilgrims can make their offering conveniently.

You do not need any ticket, registration or prior booking to offer at the Srivari Hundi. Any pilgrim who enters for darshan can drop their offering directly into the hundi. Offerings are counted by TTD staff under strict supervision, and the proceeds go into the Srivari Hundi corpus that funds the temple’s religious, charitable and pilgrim-welfare activities.

How the physical hundi offering works

  • Enter the temple for darshan through your applicable queue (free Sarva Darshan or a ticketed/privileged darshan).
  • After having darshan of Lord Venkateswara, place your cash or offering into the Srivari Hundi located along the exit route.
  • No receipt is issued for anonymous cash dropped directly into the hundi; it is credited to the Srivari Hundi corpus.
  • Gold, silver and valuable ornaments can also be offered into the hundi and are handled by TTD staff.

TTD e-Hundi: the official online Srivari offering

For devotees who cannot travel to Tirumala, TTD receives online offerings to the Srivari Hundi through its official “e-Hundi” facility. This lets you make the same devotional offering to Lord Venkateswara digitally, from anywhere in the world, and the amount is credited to the Srivari Hundi corpus.

Per TTD, an amount offered online through e-Hundi is treated as a direct offering into the Srivari Hundi. For a straightforward e-Hundi offering you do not have to enrol in any donation scheme — you simply choose the e-Hundi / Srivari Hundi option, enter your details and the amount, and complete the payment. Donations are eligible for income-tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, and TTD issues a donation receipt / IT exemption certificate for eligible offerings. Because thresholds and privileges are revised from time to time, confirm the exact current terms on the official portal before you pay.
