  • On the day of the Tiruvannamalai Karthigai Deepam, the pilgrims will allowed for the trekking to the top of the mountain. It takes around 6-7 hours for the pilgrims to reach the top of the mountain.
  • The trekking to the Tiruvannamalai Karthigai Deepam to the top of the mountain is very tough and the pilgrims who are not physically unfit should not take this trekking.
  • The pilgrims will be carrying the Ghee for the deepam which is lit on the day of the Tiruvannamalai Karthigai Deepam and the pilgrims will be offering the same on the top of the mountain.
  • The pilgrims who wanted to have the Darshan of the Lord Shiva on the day of the Tiruvannamalai Karthigai Deepam had to make sure they were ready to wait for a longer time. The Darshan on this day takes more than 5-6 hours.
