The Tula Sankramana is celebrated only for the Kaveri festival. The temples and also the villages which are on the shore of the River Kaveri will be celebrating the Tula Sankramana with special pooja on this day for the pilgrims. The pilgrims can take a bath in the Kaveri river on this day.

  • The Tula Sankramana can be watched and also celebrated near the Tala Kaveri which is located near Coorg town. The pilgrims will be coming to the temple near the Tala Kaveri to celebrate the Tula Sankramana
  • The pilgrims can do simple pooja for the Tula Sankramana and can take a bath in the river which originates here. It is not like the pilgrims should take a bath in the Tala Kaveri itself. tala Kaveri is the Origin point of the Kaveri River.
  • The pilgrims can take a bath in any place where the Kaveri flows. The bathing locations are announced for the pilgrims to take a bath on the Tula Sankramana day.
  • The pilgrims can also go to the temples near the Kaveri River and can do the special pooja near the river shore. There are pilgrims who do the pooja for ancestors on this day and leave the Tharpanam for the ancestors. This can be done by the priest.
