Avanakshamma Temple is one of the oldest temple in the Telugu states. It is said that Lord Sri Venkateswara and Sri Padmavathi has prayed to Lord Avanakshamma at this temple after their marraige. Lord Avanakshamma is another avatar of the Lord Shakthi. The temple is most powerful temple. Very recently the temple has been acquired by the TTD. So all the maintenace and also the pooja is taken care by the TTD itself

The Avanakshamma Temple is located just 5 kms from the Narayanavanam temple. The Narayanavanam temple is the temple where the Lord Venkateswara has married Lord Padmavathi after soming on a hunting trip. The Avanakshamma Temple is located just 40 kilometers from the Tirupati temple. The pilgrims need not book any online booking for the Darshan. The Darshan will be available freely.

  • To reach Avanakshamma Temple the pilgrims has to follow the directions from the Narayanavanam temple. The pilgrims can also follow the directions from the Google Maps. As of now the location of the Google Maps is accurate for the Avanakshamma Temple
  • The timings of the Avanakshamma Temple is from 8 AM–11 AM, and 4 PM–8 PM daily. There is will no changes in the timings for any special days
  • The pilgrims can book and participate for the Special Darshan or else any special pooja at the temple itself. There is no online booking for the temple as of now
  • The pilgrims need to travel 5 kms from the Narayanavanam temple and follow the routes in the villages. The Avanakshamma Temple is located near the foot of the Nagari hills
  • For any special days or festival, the crowd will be a little bit more. This Avanakshamma Temple is must visit for the pilgrims who comes to see the Tirumala temple
