The pilgrims in the state of Tamilnadu will be doing the Nombu festival more than Diwali. The date and timings of the Nombu festival in the year 2023 are as below. The pilgrims can follow the Tamil Calendar for the Nombu festival details and also the timings. The pilgrims who belong to Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh will also be doing the Nombu festival. The Nombu is an one-day festival where the pilgrims will be doing the Lakshmi pooja. This is called the Nombu or the Nomulu in the local languages.
- The Nombu Festival for the Diwali is on 13 November 2023. The timings of the Nombu is from 11.00 AM to 03.00 PM. Some pilgrims will be doing the Nombu festival in the evening and some pilgrims will be doing the Nombu festival in the afternoons.
- The pilgrims can do the Nombu festival based on their convenience. The pilgrims will be mostly doing the Nombu festival in the Shiva temple locally and will be doing the Nombu festival in batches.
- The pilgrims can also do the Nombu Festival at home. The pilgrims need to hire a priest to do the Nombu festival in the home. But the priest will be coming to the homes if they are not engaged other wise.
- Some pilgrims will be cooking the prasadam which is specific for the Nombu festival and hence most of the pilgrims will be purchasing the prasadam also.
