Garuda Statue is one of the most important landmarks of the Tirumala TTD temple. The Garuda Statue is located in Tirupati near the Alipiri gate. The pilgrims will be seeing the Garuda Statue as the first sign of starting to Tirumala. The Garuda Statue is near the entry point to Tirumala temple after which the Ghat road toll road will start. The pilgrims who wanted to walk to the Tirumala temple also will be starting from the Garuda Statue in Tirupati. The Garuda Statue is the starting point of all the Tirumala routes. The pilgrims can take the round about near the Garuda Statue and can go to Tirumala in Vehicles. The Garuda Statue was installed in Tirupati by the TTD in late 1970 as an amazing welcome to the pilgrims who come to the Tirumala temple.

The Garuda Statue Alipiri is open to pilgrims for 24 hours. There are no specific hours for the pilgrims to come and have the Darshan of the Garuda Statue Alipiri. The pilgrims can directly watch the Garuda Statue Alipiri near the gate.
