Navratri is one of the major festivals of Hindus. This festival is celebrated with great pomp across the country. Vijaya Dashami, known as Dasara, is preceded by nine nights of devotional worship to the Goddess. Goddesses are worshipped in different forms every day during Sharannavaratra. The first three days are worshipped as Parvati, the next three days as Lakshmi and the last three days as Saraswati.
