Sesha Theertham is one of the many unique Theerthams in Tirumala. To the east of Srivari Temple, a little above Sesha Theertham is Sitamma Theertha, enthralled by the pleasant natural beauty in the dense forest area. Sesha Theertham is located in a hill cave at a height of 2500 feet above sea level.

There is always a water hole here, if you shake it with a bamboo stick, water will come out. Seethamma Dhara Tirtha waters all meet in Sesha Tirtha. It is believed that this Tirtha is called Seethamma Dhara Tirtha, as according to Loka Katha Sitamma spent time here with the Lavakushas.

  • The trekking to Sesha Theertham will take 6-7 hours based on the person’s capability. The Route for the trekking to Sesha Theertham starts from Pachi Kaluva Gangamma temple near Tirumala
  • The trekking to the Sesha Theertham will be tough for the pilgrims who are not in good health conditions. The pilgrims who cannot climb or trek are suggested to stay away from the Sesha Theertham.
  • The pilgrims are there if something goes wrong as there will no be authorities to help during the trekking. The pilgrims need to know that the Sesha Theertham trekking is a completely on the risk of themselves
  • The TTD will be making basic arrangements only like providing ropes, clearing paths and providing tubes to swim in the water. A person who cannot climb, swim and trek mountains are suggested to stay away from the Sesha Theertham.
