SSVP Poojan Vaishno Devi Price List Online Booking Benefits

Shiva Venkateswara Aug 19, 2022 Updated Jul 6, 2026 6 min read

The SSVP (Shraadh Suman Vishesh Poojan) is the premium special pooja at the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine, organised by the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) for devotees who wish to attend the Aarti Darshan inside the Holy Cave. As per the official Shrine Board portal, it is offered in four categories priced at ₹26,000, ₹48,000, ₹71,000 and ₹1,21,000, each bundling Aarti Darshan, accommodation, meals, helicopter or battery-car travel and Prashad (Lifafa) into a single package. Booking is done only through the Shrine Board’s own website, maavaishnodevi.org. Below is a plain-English guide to what SSVP includes, its price list, and the other official pooja and prasad services at Vaishno Devi — all cross-checked against SMVDSB sources.

What is SSVP (Shraadh Suman Vishesh Poojan)?

SSVP has been introduced by the Shrine Board for devotees who wish to be present at the Aarti Darshan performed inside the Holy Cave, in front of the three Pindis (the natural rock forms of the Goddess). It is the most comprehensive — and the costliest — special pooja at Vaishno Devi, because a single ticket covers not just the pooja and Aarti but also the pilgrim’s stay, food and travel to the Bhawan. The pooja is available throughout the year, and the number of tickets per day is limited, allotted on a first-come, first-served basis. Because these are premium, limited slots, the Shrine Board advises confirming the current schedule and availability on its official portal before planning your Yatra.

SSVP Vaishno Devi Price List & Categories

The Shrine Board offers SSVP in four categories, differing by price, the number of persons covered and the type of accommodation. The following figures are as published on the official SMVDSB portal.

On special occasions — festivals, the Navratras, and Saturdays and Sundays falling between 15 March and 15 July — the Shrine Board applies a revised SSVP rate of about ₹35,000 per devotee. Rates and package terms are reviewed by the Shrine Board from time to time, so treat the figures above as indicative and confirm the live price on the official portal before you book.

What a SSVP package includes

According to the Shrine Board, every SSVP package typically covers the following for the persons named on the ticket:

  • Aarti Darshan inside the Holy Cave, in front of the Pindis.
  • Accommodation — an AC room in the Niharika complex at Katra and a room at the Bhawan (2-bed for Categories A and B; 4-bed for Categories C and D).
  • Meals — up to three meals per adult at Katra / Bhawan.
  • Travel — helicopter tickets or battery-car travel on the track.
  • Priority access to the passenger ropeway.
  • Prashad — Lifafa Prashad, one per adult covered by the category.

An important rule the Shrine Board highlights: once an SSVP booking is confirmed, it cannot be cancelled, pre-poned or postponed, and no refund is given for a no-show. The only stated exception is when the Shrine Board itself suspends the Yatra on the booked date, in which case the amount is refunded as per its published policy. Please verify the current cancellation and refund terms on the official portal at the time of booking.

Other official poojas & sevas at Vaishno Devi

Alongside SSVP, the Shrine Board conducts several other services. The main ones are:

  • Individual Poojan: a lower-cost special pooja for a single family unit, without the travel-and-stay bundle that SSVP carries.
  • Attka Aarti: the Aarti is performed twice a day — once in the morning and again in the evening — in front of the Holy Cave, and devotees can attend it. Tickets/registration for Attka Aarti are handled through the Shrine Board’s booking system.
  • Hawan / Havan Poojan: performed at the Yagyashala (fire altar) at the Bhawan, offered both in person and virtually for devotees who cannot travel.
  • Prashad: the Shrine Board’s official Prashad, including Panchmeva and box Prashad, which can be ordered online for doorstep delivery across India through its portal.

All of these are managed directly by SMVDSB. For exact timings, current charges and eligibility of each seva, rely on the Shrine Board’s own listings rather than third-party agents.
