Tirumala has a lot of Guest houses which are maintained by TTD but are built and donated by Private organizations. Such Guest house is the Ampro Guest houses. This is like a Private Guest house which is available in Tirumala for pilgrims. Ampro Guest houses rooms are available in the TTD only, but cannot be booked online. The rooms in the AMPRO Guest houses can book only through the SPGH allotment counter. Most of the VIP Range rest houses in Tirumala is situated in the SPGH area which is also called as the Sri Padmavathi Guest House Area

The pilgrims who want to stay in the Ampro guest houses have to reach the SPGH allotment counter and can check for availability. The rest house will be allotted if it’s available or else the guest houses will be allotted based on the recommendation letters. Most of the allotments of Good guest houses in Tirumala will be allotted based on recommendation letters only

So mostly common pilgrims will not be able to stay in these rest houses irrespective of the amount paid for the stay. The procedure to book the AMPRO guest house in Tirumala is as below

  • The pilgrims have to reach the SPGH allotment counter with the recommendation letter
  • The staff will check the availability of the Guest houses and if the Guesthouse is available then it will be allowed. Other wise the other Guesthouses which is available in the same area will be allotted
  • The pilgrims will get the rooms for 24 hours only. With 24 hours extra caution deposit. If the pilgrims want to extend the guest house then the tariff will double for every day
