  • The pilgrims will be mostly start from the temple of the Arunachaleswar which is the main temple. The temple is located in the middle of the city
  • The pilgrims first reach the temple and will be starting there. The Girivalam will be complete when the pilgrims finish the walking where they have started.
  • The pilgrims can start walking from the temple. The path will be passing through the main road and there are arrangements made fr the pilgrims in this path
  • The whole path of the Girivalam around the mountain is around 13 kilometres. This journey takes around 4-8 hours based on the pilgrims age and walking pace
  • The pilgrims will also be visiting the 8 lingam temple which is located around the mountain. The 8 lingam can also be found from the above map as well
  • The pilgrims once reaches the starting point the Girivalam is completed. The pilgrims will be taking the Darshan of the Lord either before or after the Girivalam
