Yadagirigutta Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Kalyanam Timings, Online Booking
Short answer: Nitya Kalyanam at the Yadadri (Yadagirigutta) Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple costs ₹1,500 and it can be booked online through the temple’s official Telangana government portal. The devasthanam also offers a Saswata Kalyanam — a one-day-per-year endowed kalyanam — at ₹10,000. Many websites quote a different price and state that kalyanam tickets are counter-only; the temple’s own booking portal shows otherwise.
Kalyanam at Yadadri: the official rates
| Seva | Fee | Bookable online? |
|---|---|---|
| Sri Swamy Vari Nitya Kalyanam | ₹1,500 | Yes |
| Sri Swamy Vaari Saswata Kalyanam (yearly, one day) | ₹10,000 | Yes |
Nitya Kalyanam is the daily ceremonial marriage of the Lord and His consort, performed on behalf of the sponsoring devotee or couple. Saswata Kalyanam is an endowment: the kalyanam is performed in the sponsor’s name on one fixed day every year, in perpetuity, in return for a single payment.
The temple advises that darshanam, seva and accommodation bookings should be made at least 48 hours in advance. That is the single most useful planning rule for this temple — turning up on the morning and expecting a kalyanam slot is the common mistake.
Why the widely-quoted price is wrong
A large number of travel and temple-listing websites state that Yadagirigutta kalyanam costs ₹1,250 per couple and that tickets cannot be booked online, only at a counter inside the temple. We could not reconcile that with the devasthanam’s own booking system, which lists Nitya Kalyanam at ₹1,500 and marks it online-bookable.
Where a temple’s own portal and a third-party listing disagree, the portal is the source we follow. Fees are also revised from time to time, so confirm the current figure on the official site when you book rather than relying on any secondary page — including this one.
Other sevas at the temple
Kalyanam is one of a long list of sevas the devasthanam publishes. A representative selection, with the fees shown on the official portal:
| Seva | Fee |
|---|---|
| Nijabhishekam (one person) | ₹400 |
| Nijabhishekam (couple) | ₹800 |
| Sahasra Namarchana (morning or evening, one person) | ₹300 |
| Suprabhatha Darshanam | ₹100 |
| Break Darshanam | ₹300 |
| Shayanotsavam | ₹100 |
| Sri Sudharshana Narasimha Maha Homam | ₹1,250 |
| Sri Satya Narayana Swamy Vratham | ₹1,000 |
| Veda Ashirvachanam | ₹600 |
| Annaprasana | ₹1,000 |
| Suvarna Pushparchana | ₹600 |
| Darbar Seva | ₹516 |
Note that the temple also lists Sataghatabhishekam restricted to Swathi Nakshatram days, and several Jayanthi-special homams and archanas that appear only around Narasimha Jayanthi. Vehicle poojas are offered as well, from scooter through to bus and lorry.
Accommodation at Yadadri
The devasthanam runs its own guest accommodation and lists it in the same booking system as the sevas:
| Accommodation | Tariff |
|---|---|
| Lakshmi Sadanam — category 1 | ₹900 |
| Lakshmi Sadanam — category 2 | ₹500 |
| Andal Sadan — category 1 | ₹600 |
| Andal Sadan — category 2 | ₹900 |
The same 48-hour advance rule the temple states for sevas applies to accommodation. Rooms are limited and Yadadri draws very heavy weekend and festival crowds, so early reservation matters more here than the tariff does.
How the kalyanam sponsorship works in practice
- Reserve the Nitya Kalyanam slot on the official portal at least 48 hours ahead, in the sponsoring devotee’s name.
- Carry the confirmation and a government photo ID for each participating adult; the temple checks identity against the reservation.
- Traditional attire is expected for participants — dhoti and upper cloth for men, saree for women is the customary norm at Telangana devasthanams.
- Arrive well before the scheduled batch. Kalyanam is conducted in groups, and latecomers are commonly moved to a later batch or forfeit the slot.
- The temple does not publish a fixed kalyanam start time on its portal. Times shift with the festival calendar, so confirm when you book.
A note on the temple itself
Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy at Yadagirigutta — now developed as Yadadri — is one of Telangana’s most visited shrines and a family deity for a very large number of households across the Telugu states. It draws especially heavy footfall on Saturdays, on Ekadashi days when the temple performs Laksha Pushparchana, and around Narasimha Jayanthi, when a set of special homams and archanas is added to the seva list.
Getting to Yadadri
The hill temple stands at Yadagirigutta in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district of Telangana, roughly 60 km east of Hyderabad on the Hyderabad–Warangal corridor. Most sponsoring families travel up and back in a day, which is workable if the kalyanam slot is confirmed in advance.
| Mode | Details |
|---|---|
| Road | About 60 km from Hyderabad via NH‑163 (the Warangal highway), turning off at Raigir. Roughly 1.5–2 hours depending on city traffic. |
| Bus | TSRTC operates frequent services from Hyderabad towards Yadagirigutta and Bhongir; onward local transport runs up the hill. |
| Rail | Raigir is the nearest station on the Secunderabad–Kazipet line, a short road transfer from the temple. Bhongir is the larger nearby railhead. |
| Air | Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad, is the nearest airport — on the far side of Hyderabad, so allow appreciably longer than the 60 km road figure. |
If you are booking accommodation as well as the kalyanam, do both in the same session on the official portal. Weekend and Ekadashi dates fill first, and the 48-hour rule leaves no room to correct a late booking.
