Hyderabad Ganesh Nimajjanam is the process of immersing the Lord Ganesha in Water. This ritual is followed immediately after the celebration of the Vinayaka Chavithi or the Ganesha Chathurthi. The pilgrims will be doing all the pooja to the Lord Ganesha on the day of the festival and the pilgrims will be immersing the Lord Ganesha in the Water after the completion of the pooja. The pilgrims can also do the Visarjan after some days. This means the pilgrims can keep doing the pooja for the next few days to the Ganesh idol and can do the immersing ritual after the completion of the pooja. Normally, the pilgrims will be doing the Visarjan after 10 days or the 9 days of the festival day.

Hyderabad Ganesh Nimajjanam is an important event for the pilgrims who bring the Vinayaka idols for the Visarjan. The pilgrims will be participating in this event where hundreds of the Vinayaka idols will be immersed in the Hyderabad water bodies. The Hyderabad authorities will be making all the arrangements for the Hyderabad Ganesh Nimajjanam.
- The date of the Hyderabad Ganesh Nimajjanam is on 28 September 2023. Normally, the timings of the Hyderabad Ganesh Nimajjanam will be from morning to evening.
- The Hyderabad Ganesh Nimajjanam will start from all the locations and will reach the tank areas by evening. Here the pilgrims doing the pooja to the Ganesha will be doing the Hyderabad Ganesh Nimajjanam. Then the pilgrims can leave the place.
- The Hyderabad Ganesh Nimajjanam will also be done next day also. If any pilgrims are unable do the Hyderabad Ganesh Nimajjanam during the 9th day, they can do the Hyderabad Ganesh Nimajjanam on the 10th day. If the idols are bigger then the pilgrims need to take appropriate permission of the Visarjan.
