In Kanchi itself eventhough there are number of temples, most of the pilgrims will be visiting Kamkshi temple only. The temple has many sevas for the pilgrims to attend and get the blessings of the amman. But the Kanchi Kamakshi Navavarana Pooja stands out of all Pooja. This pooja is performed to the diety as on a special note and this seva is available and peformed only in the Kanchi Kamakshi temple

  • Day: Performed on all Pournami days
  • Timings: After 09.30 pm

This Seva is very unique to the Kanchi temple and performed only on the Pournami which is a full moon day. The tickets are very tough to get for this seva. Online booking for the seva is currently not allowed. Pilgrims has to puchase the ticket in the temple counters only near the temple. The pilgrims who wishes to attend this seva will have to report at the temple early in the evening. Based on the availability of the tickets the pilgrims will be provided.

But there will be a lot of demand for the tickets. Pilgrims who comes first will be provided with the ticket. The temple ticket counter is available just out side the temple and pilgrims can reach out to the counter once they reach the temple. Also, pilgrims should follow the dress code to attend the pooja.
