Kanchi temple is the most visited temple by the pilgrims who are devotees of Lord Kamakshi. The temple is the abode of Lord Kamakshi who is a powerful god. Every year, lakhs of pilgrims will be visiting the Kanchi temple for the Darshan. The temple is usually less crowded on the weekdays and during weekends the crowd will be more. During the festival season and auspicious days, the temple will be having more crowds than expected.

The pilgrims need to follow the details about the  Kanchi temple timings every day. Sometimes the temple will be closed for the pilgrims during the festivals or any special rituals. The rituals will not be held for the whole day.

Kanchi Kamakshi Temple Timings Today Pooja Darshan Time

Below are the timings of the Kanchi Kamakshi temple today

  • Sunday: 5:30am–12pm, 4–8pm
  • Monday: 5:30am–12pm, 4–8pm
  • Tuesday: 5:30am–12pm, 4–8pm
  • Wednesday: 5:30 am–12 pm, 4–8 pm
  • Thursday: 5:30am–12pm, 4–8pm
  • Friday: 5:30am–12pm, 4–8pm
  • Saturday: 5:30am–12pm, 4–8pm

Usually, the daily timings for the temple are from morning 5.30 AM. The temple will be opened at 5.30 AM. After the initial pooja and seva for the Lord, the pilgrims will be allowed for Darshan as soon as possible. But the pilgrims will not be allowed for Normal Darshan as soon as the temple is opened.

  • After completing the initial rituals only the pilgrims will be allowed for the Darshan. Then the temple will be opened till 12 pm in the afternoon.
  • In the afternoon at 12 PM, the temple will be closed for the Darshan of the pilgrims. Then the temple will be reopened at 4 PM and the pilgrims will be immediately allowed to the Darshan
  • If the pilgrims enter the queue at 12 pm then the pilgrims have to wait till 4 Pm for Darshan in the queue itself. After opening in the evening the pilgrims will be allowed for Darshan till 8 PM
  • After 8 PM the temple will be closed for the Darshan of the pilgrims.
