Kapila Theertham temple is the temple of Lord Shiva which is most famous in Tirupati. This temple lies at the foot of the Tirumala hills but it is near Tirupati City only. The Kapila Theertham temple is near the Nandi Circle in Tirupati. The temple is on the way to the Tirumala temple and pilgrims who come to Tirumala or while going from Tirumala can visit the Kapila Theertham temple. Saint Kapila worships this temple and the lord here and hence this temple is known as the Kapila Theertham.

The Kapila Theertham has waterfalls which lie just beside the temple. The waterfalls, however, will be good to take a bath during the summer and pre-monsoon season. The rainy season will be seeing a huge level of water in the waterfalls.

  • The abhishekam in the Kapila Theertham temple is conducted daily at Morning 5.30 AM.
  • The pilgrims who want to participate in the Abhishekam seva in the Kapila Theertham temple can buy the ticket which is available at the temple counter. The cost of the tickets for Abhishekam is Rs. 50 per pilgrims
  • The pilgrims can also book for the temple abhishekam online on the TTD official website or else in the below app which available for the online booking of the seva
  • The pilgrims need not bring anything for the seva. Flowers and other pooja items can be offered to the lord. But it will not be used then and there in the temple.
  • The pilgrims can get the spot ticket booking based on the availability of the tickets as there are limited tickets per day for the pilgrims to attend the abhishekam in Kapila Theertham.
