Masik Shivratri or the Masa Sivarathri is an auspicious day for Lord Shiva which occurs every month. The Masik Shivratri is celebrated in most of the Shiva temples. The pilgrims can go to the temple and can participate in the pooja. If the pooja is conducted in the temple, the pooja will be having Abhishekam and also other pooja sevas. But if the pilgrims cannot go to the temple, then they can do the Masik Shivratri pooja in home itself. The Masik Shivratri puja vidhi is very easy and the procedure can be followed by anyone. But it is highly suggested that the pilgrims do the Masik Shivratri pooja at the temple itself.

The Masik Shivratri pooja procedure will be having the pooja, abhisheka and the prasad donation. To do the Masik Shivratri pooja at home the pilgrims have to follow the same procedure.   • The pilgrims who wanted to do the Masik Shivratri pooja at home has to first clean the home before the day. Then pooja samagri is the rgular pooja samagri which is offered to lord along with some flowers and also the prasadam.
  • The pilgrims can do the Masik Shivratri pooja either in the evening or the morning. The pilgrims need to clean the idol or the photo of the Lord Shiva and then start then Masik Shivratri pooja
  • After the Masik Shivratri pooja is completed, then the pilgrims can offer the prasadam and also the Harathi to the Lord.
