Talakona waterfalls in one of the best scenic waterfalls near Tirupati. The crowd here will be mostly the pilgrims who comes to Tirupati for the Darshan. The pilgrims will be visiting the Talakona waterfalls before or after the Tirumala Darshan. The Talakona waterfalls is about 60 kilometres from the city of Tirupati. This is one of the must visit places in Tirupati. Also, the Talakona waterfalls in one of the highest waterfalls in the district. The water here in the Talakona will be flowing throughout the year mostly. The falls lies in the Seshacahalam hills. There is also a Lord Shiva temple near the Talakona waterfalls which the pilgrims will be visiting during the festivals season

During the Karthika Masam the crowd here will be more as the pilgrims will be coming to waterfalls and also will be visiting the Lord Shiva temple. The Temple lies about 500 meters from the waterfalls

Talakona Waterfalls Open Timings: 6 AM – 6 PM

  • During the monsoon seasons the Talakona waterfalls might be closed if there is heavy flow. Also during the winter months the Talakona waterfalls will be having lesser open time. The waterfalls might be closed well before itself
  • The pilgrims can reach the Talakona waterfalls from the Bhakarapet. The pilgrims need to trek for some distance
  • The current status of the Talakona waterfalls in open and the pilgrims can visit the waterfalls
  • The pilgrims need to buy Entry ticket to visit the Talakona waterfalls. The entry ticket will be provided near the entrance gate of the waterfalls
  • The visitors will be allowed to travel to some distance in the vehicles. But after that the visitors need to trek and walk in the hills. There will be a path for the trekking. But the trekking will be uphill while going and might be problem for some pilgrims
