TTD December 2026 Quota Release: Expected Dates & How to Book

If you are planning a December trip to Tirumala, the useful question is not what the December quota costs but when it opens — because it opens long before December, and almost everyone who finds the portal sold out simply looked too late. This guide sets out what TTD has confirmed, what the release pattern says to expect, and exactly how to be ready on the day.

What TTD Has Confirmed So Far

We are deliberately not printing invented December dates here. Quota dates are the one thing pilgrims act on immediately, and a wrong date costs somebody a trip. What we can give you is the pattern, which has been consistent, and the preparation that matters regardless of the exact day.

The Expected December 2026 Release Window

TTD opens a travel month’s quota on the 18th of the month about three months ahead. That has held for five consecutive cycles:

Read that last row carefully. It is an expectation drawn from five prior cycles, and TTD does shift days within a window around festivals. Set a reminder for the 18th, then confirm the actual dates on the official portal before you commit to travel plans.

What Opens on Which Day

TTD staggers the categories across the window rather than releasing everything at once. The order below has held across recent cycles, and it is the part of the pattern you can genuinely plan around even before the dates are confirmed.

The two rows that decide most trips are the last two. The ₹300 Special Entry Darshan and the room quota are released on the final day of the window, and they empty fastest. If you can only be at your screen once, be there then.

The Seva Draw Works Differently

The four inner-sanctum Arjitha Sevas are not first come, first served. They are allotted by a free computerised random draw — registration opens on the 18th at 10:00 AM, closes on the 20th at 10:00 AM, and results appear the same afternoon, with payment from selected devotees usually due by noon on the 22nd. For the December sevas, that draw falls in the September cycle.

Because the draw is random, applying in the first minute gives you no advantage over applying on the second day. Register calmly inside the window and put your speed where it counts, on the ₹300 darshan and the rooms. How to Be Ready Before the Window Opens

The bookings people lose are lost in preparation, not on speed. Before the 18th:

• Set up and verify your TTD portal account now. Creating an account on release morning, while OTPs are delayed by portal load, is the most common way to miss a slot.
• Save every devotee’s ID details in a note you can paste from. Names and Aadhaar numbers must match exactly.
• Pick your dates and your fallback dates in advance. Hesitating over a second choice is how people lose the second choice too.
• Log in ten minutes early and wait on the booking page rather than arriving at the hour.
• Keep a funded payment method ready. Unpaid bookings expire inside the session and return to the pool.

If You Miss the December Window

A closed quota does not close off Tirumala. Several routes never depend on the monthly online release:

• Sarva Darshan, the free queue, needs no booking at all. Waiting times move with the day and the festival calendar — check today’s Tirumala darshan status before you travel.
• Divya Darshan tokens are free for pilgrims walking up the Alipiri or Srivari Mettu footpaths.
• Cancellation re-releases return unpaid slots to the portal through the day; the room availability chart is worth rechecking rather than watching once.
• Offline accommodation is allotted on the day at the Central Reception Office in Tirumala, subject to availability.
