Many tourism departments of various states have set up rest houses in Tirumala. The maintenance and also the booking of these tourism department rest houses will be taken care of by respective departments. Most of the rest houses are used for the purposes of hosting the pilgrims who have booked the Tirumala Packages in their respective tourism packages. Almost all the states will be offering Tirumala Darshan booking packages as part of their tourism programs. The tourism pilgrims will be coming to Tirumala and if the accommodation is included in the package then the rooms will be provided for the pilgrims in these guest houses.
TTDC which is the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation also undertakes one-day tour programs for pilgrims who wanted to have the Darshan in Tirumala. The pilgrims can go to the temple rest house after coming to Tirumala and can fresh up and can join the package.

- The TTDC has many rooms which can be provided for the pilgrims. The rooms have good facilities in Tirumala like the beds and also attached bathrooms with heaters.
- The pilgrims cannot book the TTDC Guest houses independently. The rooms will be assigned to the pilgrims only who have booked the packages as Darshan in Tirumala. The TTDC Guest House rooms are also included in the Darshan packages which are booked online.
- The pilgrims who book the One-day programs on the tourism website can use the TTDC Guest House for the purpose of fresh up in the rest house.
- The TTDC Rest House is also provided for the pilgrims who come to Tirumala from Tamilnadu with recommendation letters by collecting the rent for the pilgrims.
