Editorial note: This page is an informational guide only. Tirumala Tirupati Online is an independent pilgrim-information blog and is not affiliated with the property, any temple authority, or any booking service. For any accommodation booking, please use the official TTD website or contact the property directly through their own verified channels.

Gokulam Guest House is one of the many pilgrim rest houses managed by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on the Tirumala hill for devotees visiting Sri Venkateswara Swamy. If you are looking for the Gokulam Guest House rooms, tariff and booking process, the short answer is this: all genuine TTD accommodation on Tirumala — including individual guest houses — is allotted only through the official TTD channels, namely the online portal ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in and, on arrival, the Central Reception Office (CRO) near the Tirumala bus stand. There is no separate private booking line for these rooms, and tariffs and availability are set and shown by TTD itself.

Gokulam Guest House Tirumala — What Pilgrims Should Know

Tirumala hosts lakhs of pilgrims every year, and because darshan and the associated sevas often take more than a single day, TTD has built a large network of rest houses, guest houses, cottages and dormitories across the hill and in Tirupati town. Guest houses such as Gokulam sit within this network. TTD operates thousands of rooms in Tirumala across many blocks and complexes, with tariffs that range widely — from nominal non-A/C rooms and cottages at the lower end to A/C suites at the premium end.

The official TTD rest-house listings group accommodation by area — for example the Sri Padmavathi Guest House area, the Sri Venkateswara Guest House area, and various cottage and Travellers’ Bungalow blocks — each with its own room categories and daily rates. Because TTD periodically revises which blocks are open, their categories and their prices, the most reliable step for any specific guest house, including Gokulam, is to check the live category and tariff on the official portal at the time of your visit rather than relying on a fixed figure quoted elsewhere.

Note: at the time of writing, the official TTD rest-house pages did not publish a separate, standalone tariff card specifically labelled “Gokulam Guest House.” Where a specific guest house is not individually listed, treat its rate and room type as something to confirm live on the TTD portal or at the CRO counter, and do not assume a price seen on a third-party site is current.

TTD Tirumala Accommodation — Tariff Range (for context)

The figures below are indicative ranges published across TTD’s accommodation information for the hill, not a quote for one specific room. Always confirm the exact category and price on the official portal before you travel.

  • Online advance booking: Visit the official portal ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in, log in (registration is done with your mobile number and an OTP), and choose Accommodation from the pilgrim services. You then select Tirumala, pick a block/complex, date and room category, and the portal shows live availability and the tariff for each slab. Payment is completed online, and rooms are released in advance up to a defined booking window.
  • Offline / on-arrival: Pilgrims who arrive without a reservation can approach the Central Reception Office (CRO) near the Tirumala bus stand. Rooms and dormitory space are allotted on a token basis subject to availability on that day.

In practice, higher-tariff and A/C rooms are generally handled through the online advance system, while the lowest-cost rooms and dormitory halls are more commonly managed through on-arrival allotment at the CRO. Availability during festival days and long weekends is limited, so plan ahead.

Check-in, Check-out and Deposit

TTD accommodation is typically allotted on a 24-hour cycle from the time of check-in. Overstaying beyond the standard period attracts enhanced rent: TTD’s accommodation information states an enhanced rent of 200% after 48 hours and 400% after 72 hours for pilgrims who do not vacate on time. A refundable deposit may also be collected at the counter for certain categories in addition to the room rent. Keep your allotment receipt and a valid photo ID handy for check-in.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Gokulam Guest House a TTD property?

Can I book a TTD room online?

Yes. Advance and current bookings for eligible categories are done on the official portal ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in after logging in with your mobile number and OTP. Availability is shown live and payment is made online.

What if no room is available online?

You can approach the Central Reception Office near the Tirumala bus stand on arrival, where rooms, choultries and dormitory halls are allotted on a token basis subject to availability. Free dormitory accommodation is also offered here.

Is there free accommodation at Tirumala?

Yes. TTD provides free choultries and dormitory halls for pilgrims and families, with electricity and water provided free of charge. Contact the Central Reception Office for these.

What happens if I overstay?

Enhanced rent applies for late vacating — per TTD’s accommodation information, 200% after 48 hours and 400% after 72 hours beyond the allotted period.
