  • On the Sri Krishna Janmashtami day, the devotees will be doing the Sri Krishna Janmashtami pooja vidhanam in the evenings mostly after 6 PM
  • The devotees will be decorating the home and also the pooja mandir at home. The devotees can have the idol or the image of the Lord Shri Krishna and can do the pooja for the same
  • Then the devotees can cook the prasadam for the Lord. Generally, people will be cooking sweets and also food items which are in the white colour.
  • But Lord Krishna will be happier if the pilgrims can offer Milk, Curd and Butter with the beaten rice. The beaten rice is the most important and also most loved food for the Lord Krishna
  • After offering the Prasadam, the devotees if they have kids at home can make up them as Lord Krishna or Radha. Then the footprints will be planted from outside of the home to the pooja mandir in home
  • These footprints can be done with rice batter. Then the pilgrims can chant the Krishna mantra and other Krishna pooja mantras and do the harathi
