Tirumala Guest House: step-by-step online booking, availability tips, check-in rules, documents, change/cancellation and pro hacks for festival days.

  • Where to book: Official TTD Online Services portal/app (rooms for Tirumala & Tirupati).
  • When to book: Watch the monthly quota release; for peak days, log in early and keep multiple date options.
  • What you need: Each pilgrim’s name/ID exactly as per Government ID; choose room type and check-in window.
  • On arrival: Carry original IDs and the room receipt. Report at the guest house/CRO as printed.
  • Plan-B: If sold out, try city complexes (Vishnu Nivasam/Srinivasam/Madhavam) or on-arrival counters for current/leftover allotments (subject to day’s availability).

Start here — how Tirumala Guest House booking actually works

Rooms maintained by TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) are allotted through the official online portal/app. Inventory is split across Tirumala hill and Tirupati city (ideal if you’re arriving late, have kids/elders, or plan Padmavathi Tiruchanur darshan). Online booking is the safest route; a limited number of rooms may surface on arrival via counters when cancellations or late check-outs free inventory.

Step-by-step: Tirumala Guest House Online Booking

  1. Prepare profiles
    • Create/login to the official account.
    • Add pilgrim profiles: full name as per ID, gender, age, ID type/number.
  2. Pick location & dates
    • Choose Tirumala (on hill) or Tirupati (downhill: Vishnu Nivasam, Srinivasam, Madhavam, etc.).
    • Select travel dates and a flexible check-in window (e.g., 12–24 hrs).
  3. Choose room type
    • Non-AC / AC / Deluxe; family rooms are limited.
    • Note occupancy rules (adults/children) shown on the page.
  4. Review & pay
    • Re-check names/ID numbers (must match IDs you’ll carry).
    • Pay via UPI/card/net-banking and download the receipt.
  5. Download receipt & map
    • The confirmation shows guest house name / reporting desk.
    • Save PDF & screenshots; network can be patchy uphill.

Pro Tip: For monthly releases, log in 5–10 minutes early on two devices. Keep UPI + a backup card ready and accept any workable room—perfection can be adjusted later if cancellations reopen.

Understanding room types & what’s included

  • Standard Non-AC / AC: Clean rooms with attached bath; hot-water windows often mornings/evenings.
  • Deluxe/Family: Larger rooms; very limited; sell out first on festival weekends.
  • Linens & housekeeping: Basic linens; housekeeping upon request/rotation; carry personal toiletries.
  • Meals: No in-house restaurants in most guest houses; rely on annadanam, PAC cafeterias, or nearby vegetarian messes.

Check-in, check-out & extension

  • Check-in window: Printed on your receipt (e.g., a 12/24-hour band). Reach inside the window with original IDs for all adults.
  • Where to report: As printed—CRO/Reception or directly at the named guest house.
  • Room extension: Not guaranteed. Ask the reception well before checkout; paid extensions are subject to day’s load.
  • Late arrivals: If severely delayed, call the desk (if number provided) or visit the counter ASAP; no-shows may lapse.

On-arrival options (when online is sold out)

  • Tirupati city complexes:
    • Vishnu Nivasam (opposite railway station) — great for late arrivals/early departures.
    • Srinivasam (near bus station) — high capacity, close to APSRTC.
    • Madhavam — another city option.
    • Ask reception for current/leftover allotments; carry ID + payment.
  • Tirumala hill:
    • Occasionally, current allotment opens due to last-minute cancellations. Check CRO/guest house receptions.
    • Peak festival days are tight—have a Plan-B hotel in Tirupati.

Local Tip: If you’re mainly targeting darshan today/tomorrow, it’s perfectly fine to stay in Tirupati and shuttle up via 24×7 APSRTC. It saves time and stress.

Smart combos — rooms with your darshan plan

  • ₹300 Special Entry: Pick a mid-morning check-in in Tirumala/Tirupati and report to VQC 30–45 mins early.
  • Divya Darshan (footpath): If climbing at dawn, stay in Tirupati, climb with a light daypack, and check-in after darshan.
  • Infant/NRI/Senior/PH: Choose Tirupati city for easier logistics; travel up for the specific reporting window.

Luggage, lockers & mobility

  • Use PAC-1/PAC-2 free luggage counters/lockers on the hill.
  • Keep valuables/medicines with you.
  • Seniors/wheelchair users: request assistance near VQC/Supadham zones (subject to availability).

Editor’s Note — Tirumala Accommodation Update, April 2026

TTD’s Tirumala and Tirupati accommodation quota continues to be released on a rolling monthly cycle via ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in. As of April 2026, guest-house categories (Varahaswamy, Madhavam, Nandakam, Padmavathi, VIP cottages) remain active with the same rent + equal refundable caution deposit structure. Refunds to the original payment instrument typically settle within 7–15 banking days after vacate. Walk-in allotments on the hill go through MBC-34 and the CRO office; Tirupati-side inventory is at Srinivasam, Vishnu Nivasam, and HVOC.

Only the official TTD portal processes genuine allotments — third-party agents and resellers are not authorised.
