Where to Find the CRO Office at Tirumala

The Central Reception Office (CRO), where offline Lucky Dip enrollment happens, is located inside the Vaikuntam Complex II area on the Tirumala hill. Devotees arriving from any direction can reach it in the following ways:

  • From the TTD bus stand: approximately 500 metres walking distance. Follow signs for “CRO” or “Central Reception Office” — TTD volunteers are usually posted at major junctions to guide devotees.
  • From Sri Vari Guest House and accommodation area: approximately 800 metres. Ask reception staff for the shortest walking route.
  • From the Alipiri steps arrival point: after completing the climb, follow the main queue-management path — CRO is signposted from the top of the steps.
  • Local auto or TTD shuttle: auto-rickshaws will drop you at the nearest permitted point. TTD’s free internal shuttle also covers the CRO route.

CRO enrollment counter timings: typically 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily. The lucky dip draw for the next day’s slots happens at 6:00 PM. Always confirm same-day timings at the TTD information cell before travelling to the counter.

Documents to Carry for CRO Enrollment

  • Original Aadhaar Card — photocopy is not accepted for enrollment, as the biometric scan reads the original.
  • Registered mobile number — the same number linked to your Aadhaar, so you receive the confirmation SMS.
  • Cash or UPI ready — for immediate payment if selected. Payment happens the same day at the counter.
  • Photo ID backup — a second photo ID (PAN, Passport, Driving Licence) is useful if the Aadhaar biometric reading fails.

For devotees who could not travel to Tirumala for the offline system, see the Electronic Lucky Dip registration guide — this is the online equivalent, bookable from anywhere 45–60 days in advance.
